The Blues' open training session in Sydney this evening was met with huge enthusiasm by our Australian supporters, who turned out in force to watch Jose Mourinho's side make their final preparations for tomorrow's game against Sydney FC. There were 10,000 fans inside the ANZ Stadium when the session began, just before 6pm local time.
After a warm-up drill and keep-ball exercise, the players then took part in a match, which was played out in one half of the pitch.
Eden Hazard opened the scoring, much to the delight of the fans in attendance, the Belgian finishing from close range and receiving a wonderful ovation.
As an added bonus for the supporters, official club footballs were handed out to a lucky few, while they were also able to get a glimpse of the Barclays Premier League and Capital One Cup trophies.
Later this evening the trophies will be brought along to a supporters' club in Sydney, where fans will be afforded photo opportunities.
