The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong, on Thursday released a White Paper that stated that Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, Kwesi Nyantakyi and other officials of the FA be investigated for financial misappropriation.

But the Israeli coach speaking on the issue on Friday noted that, “I am very surprised that this report is published three days before the game [ The Black Stars play Mauritius in Group H of qualifiers to Gabon 2017 on Sunday]”.

According to the coach the Black Stars at this time need the support of all and sundry. “It is not easy because in football there are a lot of things around so I am asking [Ghanaians] and the GFA to do everything to avoid anything before any game.”

“I think the timing of the report is not the right timing; we could have done it after the game. I hope it is by coincidence but I am not happy with the timing,” he stressed

Mr. Grant however, expressed faith in his charges to stay focused.

“What I can say is that the players are mature enough and we have two days more to concentrate on the game.”
